Tractor, the true companion of farmers in agricultural work, plays an important role in improving the economic condition of farmers. 

The most commonly used equipment in farming means that a huge subsidy is being provided to the farmers on the purchase of tractors. To avail the benefits of the scheme, farmers should apply quickly.

For your information, let us tell you that this grant is being provided by the Haryana Government for the purchase of a tractor. However, not all farmers will be able to take advantage of the grant. 

This is only for Scheduled Caste farmers. The Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department is providing a grant of Rs 1 lakh to Scheduled Caste farmers on tractors with a capacity of 45 HP and above. 

For this, farmers can apply online on the departmental portal from 26 February to 11 March. 

Know how the selection will be done

A spokesperson of the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department said that the selection of beneficiaries in each district will be done through an online draw by the constituted District Level Executive Committee. 

After selection, the selected farmer will have to choose the tractor model and price based on his preference from the listed approved manufacturers and deposit his share in the approved account through the bank only.

The distributor will have to request for grant e-voucher through farmer details, bank details, tractor model, price recognition portal, or e-mail.

After verification of PMU and Bank, a digital e-voucher will be issued to the accredited distributor. Immediately after receiving the grant e-voucher, the farmer will have to upload the documents like bill, insurance, temporary number receipt of RC application fee, etc. along with his chosen tractor on the departmental portal. 

Physical verification of documents is very important

The District Level Executive Committee will have to submit physical verification of the tractor along with all the necessary documents. The committee after checking all the documents will upload the physical verification report along with the form on the portal and inform the Directorate through email. After investigation at the directorate level, the grant approval will be issued to the farmer through an e-voucher.

Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme

This strategy serves as a security blanket for farmers. The policy insures Rabi and Kharif crops. Rabi crops require a 1.5 percent premium, whereas Kharif crops require a 2% premium. Farmers might get compensation under the Bhai Scheme if they suffer significant losses.

Prime Minister’s Agricultural Irrigation Scheme

The government has launched the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana to improve crop irrigation. The plan encourages farms to use drip and sprinkler irrigation systems. Farmers receive subsidies of up to 90%.

Kisan Credit Card

Farmer brothers require money for farming tasks. In such cases, the Kisan Credit Card Scheme is being implemented for them, allowing farmer brothers to obtain loans ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 3 lakh at moderate interest rates. Farmers receive loans of up to Rs 1,50,000 with no commitment. Aside from these programmes, Soil Health Card, National Food Security Mission, Agricultural Infrastructure Fund, e-NAM, and Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana are being implemented.

Along with farming, beekeeping can also increase the income of farmers. Keeping this in mind, Bihar Horticulture Directorate has started Beekeeping and Honey Mission Scheme. Under this scheme, 90 percent subsidy will be given to the farmers doing beekeeping. To increase the income of farmers, a scheme for beekeeping is being issued by Bihar Horticulture Directorate. This scheme is being run in the name of Bee Keeping and Honey Mission. Actually, under this scheme, grants are given to beekeeping farmers. 75 percent subsidy is given to general category farmers and 90 percent subsidy is given to SC, ST by the state government. Provision for grant on equipment for beekeeping such as honey processing, bottling, honey testing and bee boxes has been made. It is noteworthy that under the National Horticulture Mission and Chief Minister Horticulture Mission Scheme, 75 percent of the total grant is provided for General Caste and 90 percent grant is provided for Scheduled Caste.

Bihar government is encouraging honey production

Bihar government will provide 75,000 bee boxes and hives to farmers to encourage honey production. For your information, let us tell you that only farmers registered on DBT portal can apply for this. Along with the boxes, beekeeper hives will also be provided. There will be 8 frames present in the hive with the queen, drones and workers. Farmers can get loan up to 2 crore rupees under Krishi Avasanrachana Yojana

If you are a farmer and are thinking of starting a small business then you can avail the benefits of the agriculture infrastructure fund scheme by the government. Under this scheme farmers will be given loans up to Rs 2 crore. There are multiple schemes run by the government in India for the upliftment of farmers. Under this initiative the Central Government has started the agriculture infrastructure fund scheme. Under this scheme farmers can get loans up to rupees 2 crores for setting up cold storage,  processing units, warehouses and packaging machines. Krishi Avasanrachana Yojana

Krishi AvasanrachanaYojana helps provide loans to farmers. The interest on the loans is 3% less. This concession last for 7 years. Under this scheme a loan upto rupees 2 crore the collateral will be provided by the government. And it's responsibility will be taken by Micro and Small Enterprise Fund Trust. The guarantee fees for the collateral is also paid by the government therefore farmers don't have to pay anything from their pocket. You can take the benefit of this scheme while being under any other scheme. 

The Modi government of the Center is running various schemes for the upliftment of farmers. Explain that one of them is the PM Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana. Under this scheme, the government provides pension to small and marginal farmers of India for better living in old age. The scheme was started by the Central Government in May 2019. Under this scheme, the government provides financial assistance to small and marginal farmers by giving a pension of Rs 3 thousand per month on completion of 60 years of age. This scheme is also known as Kisan Pension Scheme. In such a situation, if you also want to apply for this scheme, then you should be between 18 and 40 years old.

How much premium will have to be paid per month

To take advantage of this scheme, you must have arable land up to about 2 hectares. If the beneficiary dies under the scheme, the pension amount is transferred to his wife's account, which is about 1500 per month. The beneficiaries applying under the Kisan Maandhan Yojana also have to pay a premium per month, which is different according to the age group. If you are 18 years old, then you will have to pay a premium of Rs 55 per month. Similarly, those of 40 years of age will have to pay a premium of Rs 200 per month. Only after 60 years of age paying premium, this scheme can be benefited.

By identifying the problem of small and marginal farmers, the FPO is also being actively encouraged by the government. So that the link to the market of small and middle farmers can be increased and the income of farmers can be increased.

When did the farmer producer organisation come into force?

The farmer producer organisation was launched on 29–02-2020 by the Honourable Prime Minister in UP Chitrakoot. The government formed a formation of 10000 farmer producer organisations under this scheme. The main objective of this organisation is to increase income for producers through its own organisation. This organisation has eliminated a series of middlemen from agricultural marketing. Because middlemen act illegally in agricultural marketing work. Due to which small and medium farmers get only a small portion of the price.

Features of Farmer Producer Organization (FPO)

1. Farmer producer organisation is a voluntary organisation controlled by farmers. Members of this organisation actively participate in the formation of policies made for this organisation. The membership of the farmer producer organisation can be obtained without any religion, gender, caste, social discrimination. The main objective of this scheme of the government is to encourage horticulture in urban areas. In these cities, the government is providing a grant of up to 75% percent of the horticulture in these cities. For this, the roof of the house should be open to about 300 sq ft.
