Tractor, the true companion of farmers in agricultural work, plays an important role in improving the economic condition of farmers. 

The most commonly used equipment in farming means that a huge subsidy is being provided to the farmers on the purchase of tractors. To avail the benefits of the scheme, farmers should apply quickly.

For your information, let us tell you that this grant is being provided by the Haryana Government for the purchase of a tractor. However, not all farmers will be able to take advantage of the grant. 

This is only for Scheduled Caste farmers. The Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department is providing a grant of Rs 1 lakh to Scheduled Caste farmers on tractors with a capacity of 45 HP and above. 

For this, farmers can apply online on the departmental portal from 26 February to 11 March. 

Know how the selection will be done

A spokesperson of the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department said that the selection of beneficiaries in each district will be done through an online draw by the constituted District Level Executive Committee. 

After selection, the selected farmer will have to choose the tractor model and price based on his preference from the listed approved manufacturers and deposit his share in the approved account through the bank only.

The distributor will have to request for grant e-voucher through farmer details, bank details, tractor model, price recognition portal, or e-mail.

After verification of PMU and Bank, a digital e-voucher will be issued to the accredited distributor. Immediately after receiving the grant e-voucher, the farmer will have to upload the documents like bill, insurance, temporary number receipt of RC application fee, etc. along with his chosen tractor on the departmental portal. 

Physical verification of documents is very important

The District Level Executive Committee will have to submit physical verification of the tractor along with all the necessary documents. The committee after checking all the documents will upload the physical verification report along with the form on the portal and inform the Directorate through email. After investigation at the directorate level, the grant approval will be issued to the farmer through an e-voucher.

Prime Minister’s Agricultural Irrigation Scheme

The government has launched the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana to improve crop irrigation. The plan encourages farms to use drip and sprinkler irrigation systems. Farmers receive subsidies of up to 90%.

Kisan Credit Card

Farmer brothers require money for farming tasks. In such cases, the Kisan Credit Card Scheme is being implemented for them, allowing farmer brothers to obtain loans ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 3 lakh at moderate interest rates. Farmers receive loans of up to Rs 1,50,000 with no commitment. Along with farming, beekeeping can also increase the income of farmers. Keeping this in mind, Bihar Horticulture Directorate has started Beekeeping and Honey Mission Scheme. Under this scheme, 90 percent subsidy will be given to the farmers doing beekeeping. To increase the income of farmers, a scheme for beekeeping is being issued by Bihar Horticulture Directorate. This scheme is being run in the name of Bee Keeping and Honey Mission. Actually, under this scheme, grants are given to beekeeping farmers. 75 percent subsidy is given to general category farmers and 90 percent subsidy is given to SC, ST by the state government. Provision for grant on equipment for beekeeping such as honey processing, bottling, honey testing and bee boxes has been made. It is noteworthy that under the National Horticulture Mission and Chief Minister Horticulture Mission Scheme, 75 percent of the total grant is provided for General Caste and 90 percent grant is provided for Scheduled Caste.

Bihar government is encouraging honey production

Bihar government will provide 75,000 bee boxes and hives to farmers to encourage honey production. For your information, let us tell you that only farmers registered on DBT portal can apply for this.
